Product details
Electrical stability (ES) is measured by applying a sinusoidal electrical signal with a rising voltage to a pair of parallel plate electrodes immersed in drilling fluid. The current generated remains weak until a critical voltage is reached, after which the current intensity rises sharply. This critical voltage is called the ES value of the oil-based drilling fluid and is defined as
the peak voltage measured in volts at a current strength of 61uA.
